SB 1025 Empowering Parents Expansion Cost Projection for FY 2031 and Beyond

The annual cost of the proposed Empowering Parents expansion would be capped at $50 million until it sunsets in 2030. If renewed and caps were removed by legislative action, the annual cost could increase to $246 million.

Prekindergarten students are not included in this estimate due to lack of data availability. Homeschool students are not included in this estimate because they are not eligible for the program in SB 1025.
