Alabama's CHOOSE Act: Who's going where?

The bar chart shows where students were in school last year and where they chose to be this year. The "eligible remaining" number shows a student who not yet activated their ESA at their school of choice as of Sept. 1.

For example, of the 1,323 eligible students who attended public school in 2024-25 who wanted to enroll in a public school of their choice, zero have enrolled and 1,323 have not yet done so.

Of all eligible students in private school in 2024-25 who wanted to enroll in a private school of their choice, 9,621 have enrolled and 416 have not yet done so.
