Monthly employment growth for small businesses with 1-9 employees (seasonally adjusted), showing the monthly change in the number of jobs at businesses of this size in each sector. National (UK) sample: almost 25,000 small businesses that run payroll with QuickBooks. Note: the Index uses QuickBooks anonymised data to create aggregated data outputs which are reweighted using official statistics to reflect the general population of small businesses, rather than the QuickBooks customer base. It is not a reflection of Intuit’s business. Sectors are defined by the UK's Standard Industrial Classification of economic activities (SIC). Net change values are rounded to the nearest hundred, so values below 50 are shown as zero.
