Global Climate Resilience and Readiness

In 2023, most African countries and those with a significant to majority African descendant population remained among the least climate-ready despite contributing the least to global emissions.

Scores range from 0 to 100, where higher values denote greater resilience and adaptive capacity.Higher scores (blue) indicate countries with stronger governance, infrastructure, and economic capacity to adapt to climate change, while lower scores (red) represent nations facing greater exposure and fewer resources to respond.
