Dust Doppler could fill "Radar Black Hole"

The Arizona Department of Transportation installed an X-Band weather radar in 2019 to detect dust storms before they hit a section of Interstate 10 that has seen several crashes during dust storms. The radar was set up in a so-called coverage gap between two National Weather Service radars in Phoenix and Tucson. Arizona's Family confirmed the radar has not been sending critical data to the National Weather Service since it was installed.
