African prospective applicants for the DV-2026 Diversity Visa program

More than 53,900 prospective applicants from African countries were registered for DV-2026 after entering the lottery in 2024, before President Donald Trump took office for his second term. They account for nearly 42% of the worldwide total. The figures include people selected in the lottery as well as their spouses and children.

Figures are by foreign state of chargeability and include DV-2026 selectees and their spouses and children. Selection does not guarantee that an applicant will receive a visa. Nigeria was not eligible to participate in DV-2026.
