Support for solar panels investment

Q: The first announced project under the ‘A Future Made in Australia’ policy was $1b to support manufacturers in Australia who can make solar panels to produce renewable electricity and compete with imports from countries like China. Critics of this plan say Australia cannot match the low costs in China and the federal money will be wasted. Supporters of the idea say Australia needs to be able to make these products and we can keep costs low over time thanks to automated production. Do you support or oppose this particular project?
