The International Budget Partnership (IBP) conducts a yearly survey called the Open Budget Survey. This visualization indicates the scores (out of 100) for the Lower Mekong countries in three areas: public participation, oversight, and budget transparency. The IBP indicates that a transparency score of 61 (out of 100) or higher indicates a country is publishing sufficient information to support informed public debate. Thailand is the closest to this minimum (scoring 58/100 on budget transparency) out of the countries in the region.
