Over 1 out of 3 deaths at Liberty CI ruled as accidental since 2018

FDC data shows that 34% of the deaths are marked as accidental, which is 5 times the state-wide average of 8%.

A WCTV investigation found that in cases of fatal drug overdoses, the FDC sometimes rules those deaths as an accident. Each FDC fiscal year starts June 30.
