Catholic Population by Metro Area

In 2024, 26% of adults in the Philadelphia area identified as Catholic, the eighth-highest share among the 33 metro areas surveyed in the latest Pew Religious Landscape Study. The highest share was 41% in Providence, R.I. The U.S. share was 19%.
