States that received the least disaster funding

The chart below shows the five states that received the lowest amount of funding per capita for disasters that occurred from 2011 to 2021. A disaster is defined as a hurricane, tornado, storm, high water, wind-driven water, tidal wave, tsunami, earthquake, volcanic eruption, landslide, mudslide, snowstorm, drought, fire, flood or explosion, according to the Stafford Act.
