Black Americans especially likely to know someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19

An AP-NORC poll finds about 2 in 10 black Americans say they or a close friend or relative has been diagnosed with coronavirus, while only about 1 in 10 white and Hispanic Americans say the same.

Results based on interviews with 1,057 U.S. adults conducted April 16-20. The margin of error is ±4.0 percentage points for the full sample.
