Note that while the absolute number of subscriptions shows an idea of the uptake of broadband in the population, absolute numbers of subscriptions is not directly comparable to number of people because a single person may have multiple broadband subscriptions, and one subscription may support multiple users. However, the indicator still gives a sense of the potential gap in broadband access nationally.
