Embarkation Fee Income

This is how much the Steamship Authority collected in each of the five Cape & Island ferry terminals that add a 50-cent embarkation fee to each ferry ticket. The fee was implement in 2003 and collections started in 2004. Since then, almost $17.9 million has been collected among all ports for Steamship Authority passengers. Other ferry operators also collect the fee, so the towns' annual totals are more than these figures.
