Texas' "Shadow Grid" of Data Center Gas Plants 

At least 15 data centers plan to build their own "behind the meter" gas plants in Texas. Available permits show that nine of them combined could emit more than 130 million tons of greenhouse gases every year — the same as 35 new coal-fired power plants.
