A Growing Gap Between NYPD Claims and City Records on Illegal Parking Complaints

In the past decade, about one third of cases where police say a ticket was issued in response to an illegal parking 311 complaint could not be found in Department of Finance records. This comes amid an uptick in complaints about illegal parking a declining police enforcement.
