Cybersecurity Incidents in Minnesota

Public agencies - such as cities, counties, schools and government contractors - are now required to tell the state when they are the victim of a cyberattack. These are the types of incidents reported to MNIT since the law took effect in December 2024.

While the total number of cyberattacks was 186, some entities reported multiple types of incidents.
