Based on a new model, the University of Washington Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation projects the United States will see 134,475 deaths from COVID-19 by Aug. 4, 2020, representing an increase from earlier projections. The upper and lower lines represent the worst and best case scenarios of the projected daily death toll, according to their model.
