How the 2nd Congressional District has voted over the last decade

New Mexico's 2nd Congressional District has flipped parties four times in the last five elections.

Below are the 548 precincts that have stayed in New Mexico's 2nd Congressional District through redistricting a couple years ago. According to a Source New Mexico analysis, 124 precincts have voted for only a Republican in each of the past five elections, 76 have voted for only a Democrat, and three have been "bellwethers."

"Bellwethers" are precincts that have voted along with the eventual winner despite the district changing political parties so frequently in the last decade.

The other 245 precincts have either flipped at least once in the past five elections (purple) or have not existed in all of the last five elections (gray).
