Cash Assistance Application Acceptance Rate is Down Since the Pandemic

A line chart showing the percentage of NYC cash assistance applications accepted each month . Before 2020, over 50% are approved, followed by a large plunge during the pandemic years to below 40%. In 2023 the rate falls to sub 40% again, showing that Cash Assistance Applications are getting denied more often than before.
