Volume was down overall in the short Memorial Day week represented by the most recent rates averages shown in this chart of data from FTR Transportation Intelligence and Truckstop's weekly report. Rates overall were sitting right in line with five-year averages, falling just a fraction of a cent in the last week. Market pressure fell more sharply with fewer posted loads and, to a lesser extent, fewer posted trucks in the Truckstop system.
