While the percentages of Black and African American graduates with degree completions (including undergraduate, master’s and doctor’s degrees) from Mizzou has fluctuated since 2013, Mizzou has always seen rates higher than the average of other similar 4-year universities in the region. Mizzou’s numbers have dropped since their peak (6.72%) in 2022 — and as their average rate of earned degrees by Black and African American students has slowly crept up over the years, the gap between Mizzou and other 4-year institutions like it is becoming smaller.
