Rate of hate crimes charged, by Oregon county

The per capita rate of hate crime cases charged by district attorneys' offices varies widely from county to county. Here's a look at charging rates -- by incident -- per every 100,000 residents in a county for the past decade, 2013-2022.

*Oregon's two tiniest counties show very high per capita rates of hate crimes charged because their populations are so small. Prosecutors in Wheeler and Sherman filed one hate crime case each -- and that was enough to skew their numbers.
