High Lead Levels in Montana Schools
Montana officials found alarming levels of lead in drinking water at many schools when they tested drinking fountains, sinks, and other fixtures between July 2020 and February 2022. If lead levels exceed 15 parts per billion (ppb), the fixture must be shut off immediately.
