(a) Incidence rate ratios were calculated by dividing the incidence rate for Aboriginal Victorians by the incidence rate for Non-Aboriginal Victorians Data quality statement: The Improving Cancer Outcomes Act (2014) transferred custodianship of the Victorian Cancer Registry (VCR) to the Secretary of the Department of Health, Victoria. Aboriginality extracted from VCR notifications and updated (annually) with the DHHS linked dataset using established business rules. Available for all tumours diagnosed from 2008 onwards. Where conflicting information is received as to indigenous status, an indigenous code is selected over a non-indigenous and either over an unknown value .
