According to the FBI's Uniform Crime Reports system, Part 1 crimes are violent and property crimes like homicide, robbery, theft and aggravated assault, among others. Part 2 crimes are petty crimes, which include fraud (fare evasion), carrying a weapon without permit, vandalism, sex crimes, drug violations, liquor law violations, disorderly conduct and vagrancy, among others.
