Pa. Voters Leaving the GOP Make Up a Big Share of Party Changes This Year

Thousands of Pennsylvania voters switch their party registrations every year. People leaving the Republican Party usually make up 20% to 33% of the changes.

So far this year, 64% of the changes are voters leaving the GOP.

As of Feb. 16, 2021. Each registration is counted separately, meaning the same voter switching back and forth is counted repeatedly as separate changes.
