Claimants who exhaust PEUC but are either ineligible for FED-ED or exhaust FED-ED benefits may be pushed to the PUA program, which expires at the end of 2020, Once this occurs, they will have fully exhausted UI benefits. (These claimants are included in the figure even if they have transitioned to PUA by the time they exhaust.)
This projection assumes UI claimants will continue to exit at the same rate going forward as they have on average over the latest 10 weeks available.
