ICE arrests in the Pittsburgh area jumped in summer 2025

ICE made more than 300 arrests in the Pittsburgh area during the summer of 2025, according to government data processed by the Deportation Data Project and analyzed by Technical.ly.

Methodology: This analysis includes arrests in the Pittsburgh area that fall under ICE’s Philadelphia Area of Responsibility, which oversees Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations across Pennsylvania. The dataset may not capture arrests that were mislabeled or lacked geographic identifiers. It excludes arrests conducted at prisons or probation facilities, but includes street arrests of individuals on probation. Arrests identified as likely duplicates by the Deportation Data Project have been removed.
