Pediatric flu deaths in Colorado by season

Flu, or influenza, is a common respiratory virus that can cause mild to severe illness. Anyone can get the flu, but some people are at higher risk of serious complications, including hospitalization and death.

Although pediatric flu deaths were not nationally reportable until the 2004-05 season, Colorado implemented pediatric flu reporting in December 2003 due to an early and severe season and a request from CDC.
