Brazil's evangelical lawmakers

Brazil used to be 90 percent Catholic. Today, 27 percent of its 208 million people identify as evangelical Christian. The country's "BBB" congressional caucus — so named for its members' support of "bullets, beef and the Bible" — holds 326 seats in the 513-seat lower house. They're hoping their energized base will help elect a religious conservative to lead Brazil in October's presidential election.
