Younger Americans especially likely to report feeling isolated during pandemic

A new NORC poll finds Americans under 35 are more likely than older adults to report negative feelings or say they’ve experienced symptoms associated with stress and anxiety due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The nationwide poll was conducted from July 22 and August 10, 2020 using AmeriSpeak — the probability-based panel of NORC at the University of Chicago. A total of 2,007 adults completed the survey either online or using landlines or cell phones. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
