Aging Mill Street Bridge in Lee slated for 2028 replacement

For residents who cross it every day, Lee’s Mill Street Bridge has long been a source of frustration — narrow lanes, stop-and-go signals, and rusting steel beams. Relief is finally on the horizon: a full replacement is scheduled to start in 2028, promising wider lanes, sidewalks, and a safer span by 2030. Replacing the bridge will cost $6.8 million, not including right-of-way acquisition costs.
