Type of discharges of veterans received who were later removed due to deportation proceedings (from FY 2013-2018)

A review of 87 veterans who were deported during the period reviewed shows that the majority of them (about 60%) received an honorable discharge or a general discharge under honorable conditions. This compares to just about 5% of deported veterans who were discharged for "bad conduct" or received a "dishonorable discharge."

*"Percentages do not add 100 percent due to rounding," according to the report.
