Employee separation from the USDA

Most employees who separated from the USDA between mid-January to mid-June last year took a "Deferred Resignation" agreement, allowing them to resign and receive paid leave for several months. As part of the "DOGE" initiative, all federal employees received an email on Jan. 28, 2025 offering Deferred Resignation, though accepting the offer was voluntary.
