OECD: Childcare costs make up 1/5 of income in UK

The UK has the fourth highest childcare costs of any OECD country, according to estimates for a household with two children and two working parents (see below).
Net childcare costs sit at 19% of the average wage in the UK, according to 2022 data; compared to 37% in New Zealand, but 10% across the OECD.
