Spreading the Wealth Both In and Out of the Islands

Martin Kao, Clifford Chen, Lawrence Lum Kee and several of their family members have donated more than $627,000 to various political candidates and campaigns since 2009, including through the use of a shell company known as the Society of Young Women Scientists and Engineers LLC. Nearly two-thirds of donations were made during the 2019-2020 election cycle.
