Montana’s Paramedic Deserts

Large swaths of Montana don’t have a single licensed paramedic working in emergency services. Custer County, where Miles City is the seat, is among the few in eastern Montana to have paramedic-level emergency care, but the department doesn’t have enough paramedics to offer that coverage 24/7.
