Gatorade, a founding College Football Playoff sponsor since 2014 and a longtime partner of each of the Power Four conferences, dominates brand association among college sports fans, followed by Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper and Capital One. A notable exception was Dr Pepper, which was the most-identified brand by 18-29 year olds (44%). The soda has been a founding CFP sponsor since and is an ACC, Big Ten and SEC partner. Fans were asked, “Which of the following brands do you most associate with college sports?” and could select up to three of these eight NCAA/CFP top-tier partners.
