A grouped bar chart showing the highest level of education attained by the immigrant population aged between 25 and 59 in the fourth quarter of 2024. European immigrants aged between 25 and 59 are, as a group, better educated than any other major group in Spain, whether foreign or native. The differences between the European subgroups are very marked: the percentage of EU nationals of Portuguese origin (PAR) with higher education is 10 percentage points higher than that of their counterparts with at least one Spanish parent, and is almost three times that of EU nationals of Brazilian origin (PBR). Likewise, the high educational attainment of non-EU nationals of Brazilian origin (PBR) is noteworthy, particularly in the case of Russians.
