Americans tend to believe the government is doing too little to protect the environment

In surveys conducted yearly since 2010, 46% to 62% of those polled said the U.S. government was not doing enough on the issue. Between 6% and 19% felt it was doing too much, while 25% to 35% felt that the level was about right. Very few people had no opinion on the issue.
