Lawmaker tenure doesn't seem to affect Congress' approval rating

The average years of service in the House and Senate per five sessions of Congress, compared with the average approval rating for Congress during those five sessions, since the 94th Congress, which began in 1975

Data reflects lawmakers' years of service at the start of a session of Congress. For Gallup surveys conducted on the day a new session of Congress was seated, that survey's data is included in the averages for both the outgoing and incoming sessions.
