Vietnam's last wild Asian Elephants

Wild Asian Elephant herds have steadily declined for decades in Vietnam. As of 2022, the Vietnam Forestry Administration estimated between 91 to 129 wild elephants survive across 12 provinces. The largest herds are restricted to three national parks.

The Vietnam Forestry Administration lists Lam Dong Province as elephant habitat, however, no data on the number of individuals is included.
