Engineers say the bridges are still safe, and their overall status depends on what part of the bridge is rated in poor or serious condition. Bridges with an element in serious condition are represented in red. Bridges with an element in poor condition are represented in orange. Hover over a bridge for more details.

Bridges are rated in several categories: deck, superstructure, substructure, culvert and channel. Deck refers to the bridge's surface. The superstructure is the upper part of a bridge. The substructure refers to pilings that hold the bridge up. A bridge culvert is a structure that lets water flow under a road. Channel refers to the waterway the bridge crosses.
