Median worker tenure has been consistently around 3 years for workers aged 25-34 since 1983. Median tenure for workers aged 45-54 and 55-64 has declined somewhat, but most groups saw an increase in median tenure during the aftermath of the Great Recession, as jobs were hard to find.
