Unequal suspensions

Throughout California, children and youth experiencing homelessness are suspended at higher rates than their peers in many school systems.

Plot excludes school districts where fewer than 50 total homeless students were identified. The suspension rate is calculated by dividing the unduplicated count of students suspended by the cumulative enrollment for a given student group.
