Did FEMA Grant My County's Individual Aid Request?

Gov. Patrick Morrisey asked the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to grant residents of 14 counties individual aid for property damages incurred during February's floods. Morrisey's office said Tuesday FEMA had approved the request for seven counties, but denied it for seven others.

A county map of West Virginia shows the seven southernmost counties shaded green, indicating they were approved for individual aid. The seven counties above those are red, indicating they were denied. All other counties are gray, indicating the governor did not request individual aid for them.
