Today's data journalists have a strong and growing focus on environment and climate coverage

Data show the percentage of global data journalists who said they work on each beat, in 2021-2023 surveys conducted by the European Journalism Centre.

Respondents in each year were asked, "What does your journalistic work cover?" The percentages of respondents answering "Other" or "None of the items listed" are not shown. Respondent numbers in the respective years were: 2021 (n = 1239), 2022 (n = 1689), 2023 (n = 768).
