Homelessness in the San Joaquin Valley

Estimates of the homeless population, both unsheltered and sheltered, throughout the central San Joaquin Valley (excluding Fresno and Madera counties) since 2007, based on annual Point-in-Time surveys conducted by Continuum of Care organizations in the region and reported to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

* In 2021, data on unsheltered in in Tulare and Kings counties was carried over from the previous year's Point-in-Time Survey because no Point-in-Time survey was conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. No Point-in-Time count was conducted in Fresno and Madera counties in 2024.
