The Department of Justice Office of Information Policy ranked medium and large-sized federal agencies based on how much time it takes them to process simple Freedom of Information Act requests, between March 2021 and March 2022. Agencies that processed requests in less than 22 days received a green designation, those that took between 22.1 and 25 days received yellow and orange, and those that took more than 25 days received red.
